Real Wedding: Joade and Alicia's Sferas, Adelaide Wedding

A sneak peek at Joade and Alicia's wedding filled with love and a passion for Jesus at Sferas Park Suites (Wedding Locations Adelaide)

I have know Alicia for a few years now. We used to have coffee together chatting about the man that she would one day marry. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard that she had met Joade and things were looking pretty serious. Joade popped up at exactly the right time and was an answer to prayer for Alicia. They both love Jesus with all their hearts and this was definitely reflected not only in their relationship as a whole, but how they chose to honour God on the most special day of their lives.

They originally booked me for April 2023, but after a few unforeseen circumstances (including a tree through Alicia's bedroom ceiling during a freak storm), they decided to move things forward to December 2022. What a great decision! :)

Joade and Alicia chose Sferas Park Suites and Conference Centre in Modbury, Adelaide for their venue. Sferas is a very popular wedding location, Adelaide. It has a lovely large getting ready suite and the newly renovated rooms to choose from for receptions and events are really lovely.

Getting Ready

Joade decided to get ready at home with his parents, brother and groomsmen. The mood was jovial for sure with lots of antics and emotions, especially between brothers. It was incredibly special to be a part of.

Alicia got ready in the Loft Suite at Sferas with her mom and bridesmaids. The ladies spent some gentle time in prayer together and there were numerous special, sentimental moments shared in the build up to what would be an epic ceremony.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held out on the grass next door to Sferas at Civic Park. It was a very beautiful set up styled by The Lily Pipit. With the sun in full shine mode, Joade entered with his parents by his side. Alicia was guided down the aisle by her Mom and Grandpa which I thought was a gorgeous idea to have share the special moment with more than one person.

Alicia and Joade's ceremony was filled with meaning and their desire to honour God came through in everything they chose to do: share communion together, have others prayer over them and sing worship songs together as a couple. It was heartfelt and left everyone feeling uplifted!

Bridal Portraits

There isn't much to say here as the images speak for themselves really. We captured these outside around the hotel as well as inside the venue. Once again the laughs and antics dominated the session :)

The Reception

Joade and Alicia's reception was in the Starlight Room at Sferas. I absolutely adored the chandeliers! They chose to enter with fireworks and had dreamy dry ice for their fist dance, both provided by Adelaide Starlight Entertainment. Decor was again provided by The Lily Pipit. After dinner and a winner fake sparkler exit, Alicia, Joade and their friends and family ripped up the dance floor in style!

Worship Session

This needs it's very own mention. During the reception, Alicia and Joade, along with a few of their muso friends, led an incredibly touching and emotional worship session. This was seriously 'goosebumps' and an incredibly powerful time. The emotion and presence of God was absolutely palpable!
