From Bump to Baby: Patricia and Nicholas & Samuel

For something a bit different, Patricia and Nicholas decided to celebrate the arrival of their little bundle with a "before & after" approach.

No strangers to being in front of my camera, Patricia and Nicholas opted for two Essential Sessions to capture the arrival of their son, Samuel. Essential Sessions are perfect for a snapshot of your memories and still include so many of the great inclusions that a full session offers.

The "Bump" Session

We headed down to Port Noarlunga for the "bump" half of their "bump to baby" plan. It was a beautiful evening and the perfect setting for this beautiful couple to celebrate all that God was doing for them as a family. I love Port Noarlunga for maternity sessions as the light lasts longer and the gentle glow of the sunset over the water can really be enjoyed.

The "Baby" Session

One of the most special elements to little Samuel's arrival, was having both Nic and Patricia's moms here from Columbia. Surrounded by love and support, baby Samuel gave all his attention to the camera. We originally planned for the session to take place at Hallett Cove Beach, but the weather had other ideas and so we headed up the hill to the little nature area near the traffic circle where it was more sheltered.

Styling their Session

I adore how Nic and Patricia went completely different when it came to styling their sessions. The soft white palette perfectly brings a calm to their waiting for their little one to arrive. I just adore white and soft pastels for maternity!

Samuel has without a doubt added colour and vibrance to their lives with their bold choice of colour! I also think these statement colours suit this gorgeous family so much!

Why "Bump to Baby" sessions are a great idea:

  1. You have the opportunity to capture more than one element of your family journey.

  2. You can choose to add special family members into one or both sessions, giving you flexibility.

  3. More memory options for a special photo gallery wall at home.

  4. You have the option of exploring not one but two great locations, creating different feels for your memories.

  5. You have the option to play around and experiment with different styling options.
